How surrendering control to God’s plan and outcomes actually gives you more confidence, increases your faith, and squashes comparison! by Angela Quinteros

    One of my personal anchor verses is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and He will make your paths straight.”  I literally could not have survived these last 4 years building my business, Faithful and Fierce Coaching, without it. Over the years, you name it, I’ve struggled with it…the comparison trap, wanting to quit, having one thing go well and then get tricked into thinking I’d “made it” only to be let down or disappointed again. Frustrated with launches of products and programs that were met with crickets and zero enrollment. Questioning God’s plan and wondering if I’d heard Him wrong when I left my career with a steady, six figure salary to take this leap of faith and start my own business as a Christian Life Coach. Time and time again, God would bring me back to that verse, emphasizing certain words and phrases from it, to remind me He IS in control and even when things aren’t adding up or making sense or seeming successful to me, it WILL all add up in the end if I just keep trusting Him. Trusting in the Lord with all your heart means trusting Him with the plans, the clients/customers, the outcomes.  God has taught me that when I surrender these things to Him, not only do I experience more peace in my mind but I also experience more confidence in myself and the path that God has ME on. When I was depending on my own understanding, I was looking for solutions, striving to figure things out, and looking at what others (who I perceived to be more successful that me) to see what they were doing and try to imitate their strategies, always to no avail, surprise, surprise since it wasn’t the “straight path” God had set me on.  I pray that this message of encouragement and this verse touches your heart and inspires you to take your business and surrender it to God, trusting Him with ALL your heart so that He can lead you (and your business) down YOUR straight path.
